Volleyball Senior Night is so hard for me. I have watched these young women play so many games over their 4-year career at West Henderson. I’ve snuck out of family events to watch them play. I’ve taken breaks from the 9-5 job to watch them play. I’ve traveled across the state to watch them play. And I have enjoyed every single minute of their time on the court. I absolutely love being able to watch these talented young women play.
And as awesome as they are to watch on the court, I believe that these 6 young women embody everything that is good about the youth of Henderson County. They are so respectful and fun to be around. They support one another. They love learning how to get better in the sport, in the classroom, and in life. They hang out with my own child, and I couldn’t be more proud of the people he spends time with.
So it is very hard to watch them play their last regular season game at West. I’m going to miss each of you, and I am so excited for you as you finish High School and move on to the rest of your life.
