Congratulations, Falcons! What an incredible win by an incredible team. East Lincoln came into Mills River, apparently fixated on an easy victory…only to see that it was, but with the home Falcons on top! And, apparently, when you can’t win on the field you let your mouths start running. I’m proud of you for holding your composure and continuing to show the visiting team that winning with class is the West Henderson tradition!
And, boy, did you win! The Falcons finished the night winning 37-7, with the lone Mustang score from a break-away kickoff return to open the second half. Otherwise, it was the Falcons all night. This was one of the most physical games I’ve seen in years, but our local team was able to dish it out more than they took it. And I’ve also so impressed with the comradery of the team and how they support each other in every situtation. What a special team!
Now, one to Round 3. A victory that West Henderson is due over a tough Oak Grove team at Johnson Field. Good luck, men! I can’t wait to see this matchup!
