West Henderson’s Baseball Team celebrated their teachers on Friday night with an 11-1 win over Erwin. In pre-game ceremonies each member of the varsity team invited an inspirational teacher to stand with them on the baselines for the National Anthem. It’s always fun to see the connection between a student and his or her teacher, and it was fun for these young men to honor these hard-working leaders in their lives.
The game itself was fast. I also shot the soccer game at the same time, expecting the baseball game to extend late into the evening. However, the game was dominated by West from the outset, ended early. West Henderson continues their dominating play!
Congratulations to these young men, and to the teachers who have inspired them!
