Every fantastic story comes to an end. This season, West Henderson Football had a fantastic story, which came to an end a couple games early in Hickory against a great team. The Red Tornados, also 13-0 coming into the game, played a tough game, and was slowed down considerably by the powerful Falcon Defense. The West Henderson Defense caused this high-flying offence to make plenty of mistakes and held them to only 28 points. However, the Hickory team also held West Henderson’s amazing offense to only 16 points on the night, with a strong defensive line that plugged many of the holes that West had exploited all season.
Though a very disappointing game, the Falcons had an absolutely incredible season. This team set the school record for most Wins in a season. They never – even last night – gave in to the opposing team, and worked their butts off to get the victory each and ever week. These Seniors saw only 2 losses in 2 seasons, with 25 wins over that same time. Each week the players had each other’s back and did what was necessary to win.

Congratulations to the players and to the coaches who give every bit of their being from May until November every year to make sure the team succeeds.
