When it is all over, I hope can say that you had fun.
I love this sport, and am crushed that this season I couldn’t make it to more games. But, man, the games I did get to were so good. And tonight, I was able to get over to TC Roberson for another great game against Lake Normal in Round 2 of the 4A playoffs. In the end, the visiting team was able to win in 5 very close sets.
But what did I notice more than anything in this game from these amazing young ladies? How much fun they were having playing the game they love. I have loved watching these players play for many years now, and in every game they are truly having fun while playing the game. They support one another. They cheer each other on. They interact with the fans in the game while still keeping their focus on the prize. They are just a joy to be around.
They truly have fun.
Losses are never fun, and you work so hard to avoid them. But even in the loss, these women were having fun playing the game they love. Congratulations, Rams, for your incredible season. Good luck to all of you in the future, and, Seniors: I am going to miss watching you play. You are all so very special to me, and I’ll forever root for you!
