I’m often asked what my favorite sport to photograph is. I love them all, but by far my favorite is West Henderson Volleyball. It involves some of the greatest athletes in the area, who are among the nicest young women I’ve ever met – Year after Year. The coaches are knowledgeable, and they set an expectation of winning for the team on day one. The action is fast and intense, and the emotions are incredible. And the team gives it their all in every game.
Last night was no exception. These young women played their hearts out. They played hard and played extremely well. The balls were landing where they were supposed to. They supported one another, and they all worked hard. In the end, while they came up short in this one game, they ended their season with an incredible record of 21 wins to only 5 losses. They ended up as a Mountain 7 Regular Season Champions and Mountain 7 Tournament Champions, finishing with a 12-0 Conference record. They thrilled the crowds and had the full support of the community. They were simply remarkable!
Players and Coaches, I am so proud of you all. I appreciate you letting me tag along for the ride. I loved watching you mature this year: you are even better at the end of the year than you were at the start.
Congratulations on an amazing season. I will miss you, and I can’t wait to see you again in August!
I’ve posted photos of the game below. I hope you will look back at these photos and the others I’ve taken of you and your teammates and smile with pride over your accomplishments.
