Over the past few years, I’ve been learning the game of Softball. It wasn’t a sport I grew up playing or watching, but I knew that the girls who played it were super dedicated to their sport. These girls prepare year-round for the game. Many are involved in local Travel Teams, and they have been playing since they could barely run the bases without stopping to play in the dirt. The school teams are competitive, and they play against their teammates from other leagues. Without question, Softball consumes a player’s life, and that dedication is so impressive.
I am so proud of Julianna Bright on her decision to play Softball at Montreat College this coming season. West Henderson has been blessed by her presence on the field and in the dugout. She, like her teammates, is super-dedicated to the success of her teams. Good luck to you, Jules, and I cannot wait to see how far you go!
