Last week Ben Bryson had a night to remember. The West Henderson star was leading his team on the court against a very strong North Henderson who always seemed to be able to pull a big victory out against the Falcons. But in what was one of the most exciting basketball teams I’ve seen in recent years, the Falcons and Knights knotted up in regulation, with the visiting West Henderson team taking the victory at the end of the overtime period.
And as amazing of a game it was, the win paled in the night’s biggest accomplishment: Ben Bryson became West Henderson’s leading scorer. Scoring from almost all over the court, Ben broke his own father’s record of 1,782, and is reaching for the 2,000 point total. Ironically, Ben was able to capture his 1,000th point against North Henderson just last season.
Congratulations, Ben. You have worked hard for this honor! I hope the Bryson record holds for another 20 years!!
