I have been hooked on volleyball for several years. I am also lucky enough to be able to get up close to the action and take beautiful photographs of the incredible teams here in Western North Carolina, and in particular West Henderson High School. The pace of the game is intense, and I work hard to capture the entire atmosphere of the gymnasium. I love posting these images so that fans and players can see themselves in action. It is a joy to see the likes and retweets of the photos I take.
Last fall West Henderson was on a roll in the playoffs. After becoming the WMAC Champion, the Falcons starting tearing things up in the state 3A playoffs. On October 30, West Henderson hosted Jesse Carson for a fourth-round contest. The home team was on a tear and in the zone. The game was over in 1:01:32 from player introductions to West’s victory celebration. West always plays fast, but this was incredible for a deep playoff game. The Falcons were on fire for sure.
The video above shows you all of the 418 photos I took during this game. You can see the game as I see it: from celebrations to multiple shots of the action. After the game I select, edit, and upload about 150 final shots to share on my website. You can see the selects from this game below.
The pre-season starts next Saturday, and I am so excited to watch all the area teams get on the court. I hope to visit more schools this season and showcase some of this area’s incredible volleyball talent!
Good luck to all the players! I can’t wait to see what this season has in store for everyone!
