I have wanted to create this senior portrait at Looking Glass Falls for a long time. I love waterfalls, string instruments, and most of all, our area seniors. Caroline is a beautiful model who was excited to pose for me, and she made this so easy! Together I think we created an image that will be a favorite of mine for a long time!
On a very warm summer day, Caroline, her sister Taylor and her mom all met me at Looking Glass Falls near Brevard, North Carolina. These iconic waterfalls were the perfect backdrop for the image. We drug my photo equipment and her antique violin into rapids and captured several images of her that are so beautiful.
Many thanks to Caroline for being sure-footed with her instrument and for braving the thick refreshing spray that the waterfall produced. Her mom was there to dry the violin as soon as we were done. I also have to thank the many swimmers for allowing us the chance to make this. They stayed out of our scene, and I am certain they were placing bets on if I would fall in! Thank goodness none of us took a tumble!
If you would like to make a different kind of Senior Portrait, I would love to talk to you about it. Whether you love sports, video games, reading, chess, or music, I am certain that we can create an epic image that you will love!
