It was a physical soccer game. No pass went without an elbow getting thrown into the side of an opponent. Bodies slammed together constantly. Strong kicks echoed throughout Johnson Field. This was a game full of emotion and tough physical play. This game proved that soccer is a contact sport.
When I arrived at the game just as the first half was coming to a close (I had just left the volleyball game), North Buncombe led West Henderson 2-1. By the end of the game, the score was the same but everyone on the field was sore.
