I was so excited to be back on the sidelines for another season of Football. This has been a long drought from last fall, and I am anxious to see how the Falcons are prepared for the season. They won big at Madison, and I knew they would need all the momentum they could gather to face down the loaded Hendersonville Bearcat team.
The game provided a lot of entertainment value. While it wasn’t the Falcon’s night, the Bearcats were very impressive in their 35-7 victory. They are a very strong team and after two very convincing victories against local teams, I am certain that the state-wide polling will be paying attention to them as they start to work up their rankings. West Henderson has some things to work on, but I am confident that Coach Whitt will find the right combination that returns them to victory many times over this season!
I photographed a lot of highlights, including the play captured above where West Henderson’s Austin Jenkins broke up a touchdown pass to Hendersonville’s Kalin Ensley. However, my favorite moment of the game was when the dog came onto the field and decided to play with the boys. Perhaps one of the teams could use a new player?
I’ve posted a number of photos from the game below. You will need to register to see them all – the new website only requires you to register and log in one time, not every visit. If you haven’t visited the site since the update, be sure to take a look around!
Next week brings two great games to Henderson County: the Falcons is home against East Henderson on Friday (TV Game). Across the county, Hendersonville hosts a very talented Asheville team. I wish I could be at both games!
PS: Don’t forget about the memory books. These are a great way to capture your entire season in a book featuring you! Let me know if you are interested in one so that I can make sure I get the most photos possible of your athlete!
